This song is about a dissolving world and what we can do to stop it from dissolving.
I came up with this repetitious, bluesy riff, that could have been something from the 1960's. I wanted to add something different, so I added a jazzy/funky section and a very poppish section. But the driver is the riff..
Dissolution.
As we're dancing round the fire.
Dissolution comes to mind.
As we balance down the wire.
Watch the failure of mankind.
When we skip the next creation
From the untrustworthy man.
He'll undo any exception.
Just because he knows he can.
You don't owe your soul.
It's one of the things that * they stole.
You can't disagree.
There's no way that you can be free.
You know it's right there.
Your inability fills you with despair.
You want it so bad.
But is freedom something that you ever had?
And you're thinking, desparately.
There must be something wrong with me.
How come all the others seem content?
Is this something I can prevent?
As we dance around the fire.
We can start to move away.
Overturn the barbed wire.
To determine our own way.
Let us carry one another.
We can find the friends we need.
We can truly help each other.
Sow the empathetic seed.
