Story behind the song
My friend, Knud Erik, recorded some of my older songs with a girl called Cassandra on vocals, some years back. Recently I heard these recordings again and I thought it could it would be fun to create an all new backing for this one.
Lyrics
You and me in ecstasy, oh, I wish that it could be – true. I see you every day at work, but I’m just another jerk to you. Call you fifteen times a week, but you’re never there to speak with me. Kill your answering machine, oh, it sounds so cold and mean to me. Always nice and understanding, but never really there. Do you know what I’m demanding, do you really care? I, for one, can tell you that it’s time for changes. I, for one, can tell you that it’s time right now. Staring at my kitchen wall, what I’d give for just one call from you. In my lonely, scary night., everything would be all right with you. Always nice and understanding, but never really there. Do you know what I’m demanding, do you really care? I, for one…………… I live, in a dream. I live, in a dream. I live - in a dream.
